Six "Badge in a Day" opportunites (three Daisy and three Brownie) are now posted in the Project Highlights section under Activities and Eduction. I will be so excited this fall to host at least one Daisy Troop and a Brownie Troop once everything in place. Here is a list of some fun outdoor game ideas for one of the Brownie badges.

Today was a workday, weeding and putting down mulch at the overlook. This was a tree that was saved, and has a special dedication here. Thank you to everyone who came out to help!

The beauty and peacefulness right in the heart of Los Angeles never gets old. I hiked today to go over the locations for the trail markers one last time and make sure I wasn't missing any.

Today it was all about designing the trail markers. Hopefully these will be approved and we can get them ordered. Fingers crossed for a quick turnaround. Click the link if you want to help!

Getting this website going was a big step. The project needs a holding place for all the pieces to come together. This week I will be finalizing the the content for the plant markers and choosing the markers themselves. Hopefully those can be sent to production soon. I will be talking to some younger girls scout Troops in the coming weeks, so some preparation on my part needs to take place. Finally, the time has come to really get the word out in the community about the project, the website, and fundraising. This is the T-shirt design. What do you think? I have a busy summer ahead but I am ready!
